Kids can learn about the great outdoors at the Youth Field Day at Mammoth Park on Saturday, July 26 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Youth Field Day is a free event sponsored by local volunteers, in conjunction with Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Youth ages 8-16 can participate in outdoor activities such as archery, boating, muzzle loading, fishing and more! There will be several stations, including a Civil War re-enactment and a PA DCNR Forest and Wildfire Firefighter program. Learn how to identify animals, take a boating safety course on Mammoth Lake and practice your target skills – this event has something for everyone! A free lunch will be provided to all registered participants.
