The county-wide workshops are the first of many face-to-face community outreach events scheduled throughout the planning process. The purpose of these workshops is to gather feedback from residents regarding their views on issues, concerns, and opportunities within the county. Attendees will take part in an interactive activity designed to inform the planning process and facilitate discussion. In addition, the workshops will review the purpose of the comprehensive plan update and the project schedule. Join us and make your voice heard!

“The primary goals of the Comprehensive Plan are to attract, develop and retain a diverse and stable workforce that will sustain a healthy economy and, develop implementable strategies to produce vibrant, prosperous, and stable communities. The most effective way to accomplish this is through engagement and participation from citizens and key leaders,” said Chris Bova, deputy director of the Department of Planning and Development.
