“The primary goals of the Comprehensive Plan are to attract, develop and retain a diverse and stable workforce that will sustain a healthy economy and, develop implementable strategies to produce vibrant, prosperous, and stable communities. The most effective way to accomplish this is through engagement and participation from citizens and key leaders,” said Chris Bova, deputy director of the Department of Planning and Development.
About Reimagining Our Westmoreland:
Reimagining Our Westmoreland will be a comprehensive strategy and policy guide for County officials, while also providing high-level strategic guidance to local governments, industry leaders, not-for-profits, service providers, and many others. It represents an opportunity to think more regionally about solving critical policy issues that face us all. Some of the issues the plan may address include economic development, diversity, workforce competitiveness, housing, transportation, conservation and recreation, arts and culture, infrastructure, and more.
