The Westmoreland County Hazard Mitigation Plan must be reviewed and revised every five (5) years to meet Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements. The Westmoreland County Hazard Mitigation working group has started the revision process for this planning and we want your input.
Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety along with the Hazard Mitigation working group is planning a citizen workshop on February 19 and March 19, 2019 from 7pm-9pm. This workshop will be held at Cassell Hall Computer Lab, University of Pittsburgh Greensburg, 150 Finoli Drive Greensburg PA 15601. You will only need to attend one evening session.
Participant activities will include an introductory power point on hazards and mitigation at the local level, Use on-line resources to locate and map homes with nearby hazards, and also learn options for local to mitigate hazards and recover after an event.
