GREENSBURG (October 8) –Westmoreland County Commissioner Ted Kopas today announced the availability of on-line videos that showcase Westmoreland County. The videos, produced at no cost to taxpayers, highlight the county’s neighborhoods, recreation opportunities, business climate and more.
The videos are accessible through the Westmoreland County homepage at www.co.westmoreland.pa.us .
“I am proud to call Westmoreland County home, and I am proud to share our story with the world,” said Commissioner Ted Kopas. “Those of us who live here know well that Westmoreland County has much to offer. These videos highlight the county’s vast assets for those considering relocating their home or business to Westmoreland County.
“That we were able to produce these professional high-quality videos at no cost to taxpayers is a definite bonus.”
The project consists of ten videos, ranging from 1 minute to 1:30 minutes, that include a Welcome message and sections focusing on Quality of Life, Real Estate, Education, Arts and Entertainment, Tourism, Economic Development, Health Care, Parks and Recreation, and Neighborhoods.
The video project was completed by CGI Communications of Rochester, New York. Formed in 1988 the company has produced similar projects for more than 1,200 counties, municipalities and chambers of commerce nationwide.
The videos were filmed over two days in May and include donated footage from local municipalities, colleges, area attractions and sports teams.
The project was funded by local advertising sponsors including the Westmoreland County Community College, the Westmoreland County Airport Authority, Four Points Hotel by Sheraton, The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Dr. Del Kovacevic, J&D Flooring, Quatrini Rafferty Attorneys at Law, Value Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Kenneth G. Purvis.
