My son Quinn even got to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  Great job buddy! And great job by all the educators at my alma mater.

We brainstormed property tax reform, pension reform, education and workforce development, and the opioid abuse epidemic.

October 4, 2016 - Celebrating the rededication, and relocation, of a 100-year-old fountain in the Courtyard. Originally constructed by the Women's Christian Temperance Union it was restored by the Greensburg Rotary Club. A nice addition to the courtyard.

August 24, 2016 – Groundbreaking for the Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station in South Huntingdon Township. This $500 million natural gas-fueled power plant will provide electricity for about 925,000 homes, and provide more than 600 good-paying, high skilled construction jobs!

May 25, 2016 - A great day in Lower Burrell! 3-year old Lucas Goeller was sworn in as Mayor for the Day. Lucas is only a year removed from having a life-saving liver transplant. He was sworn in by Mayor Richard Callender, who was also saved by an organ transplant. Together they proclaimed Donor Awareness day in the city. And in his first official act as "mayor" Lucas helped dedicate a new playground!

We toured Aquion Energy at the RIDC Westmoreland facility (the former Sony plant) to show off some of the high-tech, good paying jobs that are at this building that was practically abandoned six years ago when I took office.
